Import customer data

Integrate with point of sale

If you installed our app from one of the partner point of sale platforms (Clover, GoDaddy Poynt, Shopify, Square, Vend), you do not need to do anything. When you install the application, Colligso automatically pulls your customer data into your account. After the installation, as you add customers on these platforms, Colligso dynamically retrieves these and adds them to your account. If you have auto opt-in enabled, Colligso would also send them a message asking to follow your business.

Integrate using an integration platform

If your customer data resides on apps other than the above mentioned point of sale platforms, Colligso can be easily integrated. Colligso apps are available on integration platforms like Integromat (now Make) and Zapier. You can easily create an integration between your app where customer data is kept and a Colligso app on those platforms. Both these platforms offer free plans and no coding is required.

Please check out our Integrations page to find if the Colligso app you are using is integrated to automatically source customer data from the app where you are collecting the data. These integrations do not require any coding on your part and they could be set up in minutes. 

Most of those integrations enable you to import the customer data as it is made available by other apps. For example, once a new submission takes place in Google Forms, using an integration between Google Forms and your Colligso app, the data collected by the Google Forms is made available to your Colligso account. 

Import data from CSV or Spreadsheet

CSV File Structure

We expect at least the following fields in the file. If you have multiple sites on your Colligso account, let us know which site the customer data belongs to. 

Id, LastName, FirstName, Email, Mobile, Add1, Add2, City, State, Pcode, Country, CampaignId

  • Id should be unique for each row.
  • Email is required for SpotIn and WalletIn only. Do not provide email address if you are providing Mobile. 
  • Mobile is required for TextIn. Mobile number should be in E.164 format such as starting with +1 for the US and Canada, +44 for the UK, +55 for Brazil, +52 for Mexico, etc.
  • Address elements and campaignid are optional
  • Provide CampaignId if you plan to target this segment of customers differently using a campaign, else do not provide.

If you have captured customer data in a spreadsheet or a csv file, there are 2 approaches to import them in Colligso.

1. Do it yourself 

  1. Login to your account.
  2. Select Site from dropdown (top right) where you want to upload customer data.
  3. Select Menu->Customers
  4. Click on Import button and follow through the steps. Provide CSV file as described below. Template is provided. 
Verify import
  • If import is successful, you would be able to see customer data once you re-login.
  • Enter an imported customer's email address or mobile# in the Customer Search box to find the customer. Remove +1 (or +country code) while searching with the mobile#. 

2. Ask Team Colligso

Open a ticket using Contact Us and attach your customer file and request import of that data into your account.
